It's like the old Quick Release Adapter, but more so. Outdoorsmans updated the locking mechanism to their Gen 2 style closure. They should call this the Quick-er Release Adapter.
The combination of our quick release adapter and our panner in one. Allows for quick swapping of heads and attachments with the ability to pan independently. The Quick Release adapter is designed to allow the hunter to easily disconnect tripod parts. You can install one on any tripod so that you can use the same tripod head on a window mount. If you have a second tripod you can install one on the head so that you could use all the Outdoorsmans accessories.
