Product Description

The Sky Archer 6400 has been a longtime favorite for its balance of simplicity and high capacity for ultralight backpack hunting. With a few key tweaks, Stone Glacier upgraded the Sky Archer to improve its versatility and provide quick-access storage points while keeping the overall design true to its minimalist intent. The latest version of the Sky Archer includes a left-side spotting scope pocket, an 8-inch zippered stow pocket for quick access to essentials, and a 14-inch side stretch pocket for a tripod, water bottle, or extra layers. A strategically placed 26” long left-side zipper gives you internal access through the full height of the pack while keeping your bow safely attached to the front of the pack.

Combine the 5900 cubic inch main bag with the hydration-compatible lid for 6400 cubic inches of carrying capacity. Expand the Load Shelf to add another 2,500-plus cubic inches of space to efficiently haul heavy loads close to your back for efficiency and comfort. With a 150+ pound load rating, the Sky Archer 6400 is one of Stone Glacier's lightest expedition-sized packs and is more than capable of carrying your camp and meat out of the backcountry.

When in Bivy Mode, use the top compression strap system and integrated storm flap to convert into a 4,000 cubic inch day tripper or quick overnight pack. Just inside the panel side zip, ¾” tri-slide buckles allow you to attach Swing Out Pockets and Camp Pockets for added organization. The Sky Archer 6400 is a field-tested, hunter-approved workhorse that continues to perform on both extended backcountry expeditions and day hunts alike.

Stone Glacier - Proper Pack Fitting

When fitting a Stone Glacier Pack, there are three things we look for in a perfect fit. (A) First, we always want the belt centered on the tip of your hip bone. Belt positioning can be altered by adjusting the attachment height of the shoulder straps. (B) Next, we want to make sure the shoulder straps make solid contact with the backside of our shoulders. (C) If a gap is present between the shoulder strap and shoulder, it often can be eliminated by loosening the load lifters. Lastly, we want to aim for the color transition on the shoulder straps (D) to land on, or close to, your collarbone. Placement can be altered with a combination of adjusting the attachment height of the shoulder straps on the frame sheet and loosening of load lifters.
